Faced with this spread, the solutions offered are often the same: spraying insecticides, using occasional repellents, or trying to eliminate mosquitoes one by one.
The problem is that these methods rely on one-off actions. They often intervene too late in the mosquito life cycle.

An approach based on mosquito biology
We now know that the mosquito follows a precise process when it hunts: this proves that a single action is insufficient. Acting only on the bite is not enough. Acting only on egg laying is not enough. We must intervene at several key moments in its life cycle.
HexaTrap traps were designed from a precise analysis of mosquito behavior: how it detects its prey, how it orients itself, how it chooses its egg-laying site, how it reproduces... Rather than trying to repel it, the traps reproduce the signals the mosquito naturally seeks: the presence of a human to bite or an ideal site to lay eggs.
Attracted by these signals, the mosquito heads toward the trap... and gets captured.
Together, they act on the entire life cycle and enable a lasting reduction in mosquito populations.

Act effectively without disrupting the environment
At HexaTrap, we are convinced that effective control must also remain respectful of the environment.
Our traps do not use insecticides. They attract mosquitoes by reproducing the biological signals they naturally seek: human scent and breathing.
Once nearby, precisely calibrated suction captures mosquitoes while avoiding larger insects such as bees or butterflies.
This approach preserves useful, pollinating insects for a more measured, more targeted and more respectful control.
Scientifically validated effectiveness
Our solutions are developed in compliance with European regulations relating to biocidal products and efficacy testing.
The mosquito attractant gel is notably authorized and validated by ANSES (French National Agency for Health Safety), which validated its effectiveness.
The effectiveness of HexaTrap traps has also been evaluated in independent field studies. These tests were carried out under real conditions on tiger mosquitoes and common mosquitoes.
