What is the purpose of the adhesive sheet?

It is at the heart of the HexaCatch trap. It lines the inside of the device and mechanically captures female mosquitoes that land on it to lay their eggs. Once stuck, they cannot leave. It is a 100% environmentally friendly trapping method, with no electricity and no insecticide.

How long does an adhesive sheet last?

On average, a sheet remains effective for 2 weeks. However, this depends on your environment. Replace it if:

  • It is covered with insects (saturated).
  • It is no longer sticky because of a heavy build-up of dust, soil or wind-borne pollen.

  • To dissolve the adhesive, rub your hands with a fatty substance, such as olive oil or cooking vegetable oil, then wash them thoroughly with soap and water.
